About Us

Our Farm

the farm is a 4th generation family run dairy farm in the beautiful welsh countryside of Abergavenny. Josh’s Jerseys milk is produced by our herd of 120 Jersey girls.

We have a spring calving herd of mainly Jerseys, and the remainder being Jersey X, which means our cows produce a product thats very high in butterfat and protein.

Our Girls

our herd is pasture fed, they are outside on grass most of the year and only brought in during their ‘dry’ period, or in extreme weather.

our cows are a closed herd meaning we breed our own young stock. This limits the risk of disease coming into the herd but more importantly for us means our generations of cows stay together their whole lives.

The health of our cows and the land they graze on is hugely important to us. We milk our cows once a day for this reason. Whilst it means we produce less milk, the cows are not working as hard and we believe this approach benefits their health, longevity and happiness.

Maintaining a good biology in the soil is also key. We use natural processes such as aerating and sub soiling, and samples are taken to monitor and maintain this. healthy soil means healthy cows.

Our Milk

our grass-fed jersey girls supply our local vending machines with rich, creamy, golden channel island milk.

Milk for our vending machines is gently pasteurised here on the farm, meaning it's locally produced using zero food miles.

*Did you know that jersey milk is high in the a2a2 protein, making it easier to digest.
